We’ve broken ground! McArthur Gardens construction has begun

November 1, 2022

Work on the permanent supportive housing at McArthur Gardens has officially begun; Integrated Services for Behavioral Health, along with numerous public, private, and governmental partners, have taken steps to bring supporting resources to the Ross County community.

Nearly 50 community members and partners joined the groundbreaking ceremony which took place on October 25th at 1049 Columbus Street in Chillicothe. It is the site of the former McArthur Elementary School.

Various Ross County organizations, including Integrated Services for Behavioral Health, will combine housing units with on-site services for people who are either chronically homeless or at risk of becoming chronically homeless.

The first units will be available in Fall 2023, with completion of all thirty-two units by Spring 2024.
