Celebrating the first five months of OhioRISE.

January 6, 2023

In February, ISBH was selected by Aetna Better Health of Ohio to serve as a Care Management Entity (CME) to build local systems of care for OhioRISE (Resilience through Integrated Systems and Excellence) in 21 Ohio counties. OhioRISE is the state’s first highly integrated care program for youth with complex behavioral health and multi-system needs. Since our official launch on July 1st, we have been providing outreach in our community and serving families with OhioRISE care coordination. Across our OhioRISE service region, we have strengthened relationships and partnerships with FCFC Councils, JFS and CPS entities, Headstarts, Community Action Agencies, public and private schools, medical providers, Educational Service Centers, DD Boards and Juvenile Courts. These entities have become some of our largest referral sources. Schools in particular are very interested in learning more about our services and we are pleased to partner with them to walk alongside the youth we serve.

Here are a few highlights from our first five months:

  • Onboarded and trained 51 staff
  • Served over 270 families with Moderate Care Coordination and over 90 families with Intensive Care Coordination
  • Provided outreach and education to over 500 families on the benefits of OhioRISE

We look forward to building on our successes as we continue to learn and grow.
