I am Sirena Robinson, and I have been serving as Managing Director of Legal and Compliance for ISBH for about a year.
I've been with ISBH for five and a half years, and I've served in a variety of roles before settling into this current one. Prior to my tenure here, I was with another behavioral health organization working within substance use disorder treatment and program development. I am also a licensed attorney in the state of Ohio and have practiced here since 2012. Primarily, I now practice as internal counsel here, but I do still maintain certification as a Guardian ad Litem through the Ohio Supreme Court and volunteer in that capacity at times. I graduated from Ohio State University with degrees in Political Science and International Relations in 2008 and then from Capital University Law School in 2011. I practiced law for 18 months, then went to Ohio University in pursuit of my Master's in Social Work and graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014. In 2018, I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Cincinnati with a Master's in Healthcare Administration.
Within my new role, I’ve worked to consistently expand my reach and help serve the entire agency. My roles include; supporting behavioral health, compliance, reviewing and handling all subpoenas and requests for documents received by the agency, as well as providing real estate council. I'm generally the one who writes or reviews contracts with other agencies or partners, and I often create business associate agreements, MOUs, and other contracts to ensure that we as an agency are compliant with all state and federal laws and regulations.
I am excited about the role I'm in with ISBH because it allows me to be much more deliberate and intentional with the way that we interact with all of our partners, community investors, business partners and court systems. I've been able to support much of our staff and leadership team in expanding our reach and improving our processes and procedures to become more efficient. I'm very excited about the future and look forward to the continued expansion and refinement of this new position and department to better serve all of our staff and clients.
